Synopsis

Inspired by the original micropub craze in Kent, three entrepreneurial Londoners decide to open their very own micropub and revitalise their high streets through a love of real ale, conversation and community spirit. Alongside interviews from notable experts such as micropub creator Martyn Hillier, brewer & broadcaster Jaega Wise and Save The Pubs campaigner J. Mark Dodds, our film follows three entrepreneurial Londoners inspired by the Kentish micropub craze who decide to open their very own micropubs to revitalise their local high streets through a love of craft beer, real conversation and community spirit.

Following on from their recent nomination for Best Documentary Feature at Romford Film Festival, come join us for this special screening of the award-winning craft beer documentary, Micropubs - The New Local as part of their MICRO CINEMA TOUR 2022. Alongside the screening about all things micropubs and microbreweries, there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers and some special guests. Have your chance to hear how the filmmakers brought this unique story to the big screen or even how to open your own micropub! There will also be a special pop-up bar to of locally produced craft beers from the local micropubs and microbreweries to enjoy alongside the film.
